Help is at hand for homeowners looking to fund home improvements from the council-funded social enterprise lender Lendology.

Lendology have worked in partnership with Exeter City Council to provide affordable loans to homeowners across the city since 2008.

In that time, more than £1 million has been lent to homeowners across the city to fund home repairs, improvements, adaptations and energy efficiency measures.

Lending council funds ensures a recycling pot of capital, and to date nearly £700,000 has been repaid by Exeter homeowners, which can be lent again.

From replacement heating to whole new roofs, to damp remedy and structural repairs, through to updating kitchens and bathrooms or outdated electrical wiring or plumbing, the eligible works are varied.

Lendology is also now also supporting homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, supporting the Council’s aims towards creating a net zero carbon city.

Homes can influence many different aspects of people’s lives, including their health and wellbeing. By encouraging home improvements, repairs and adaptations, everyone has access to a safe, warm and dry home.
