Sowing the seeds of love

Wild flowers in Exeter

It’s 10 years since the first wild flowers were sown on roundabouts, roadside verges and grassy areas around Exeter. The colourful initiative began in 2012.

The vibrant blooms have proved really popular among residents and visitors alike, not to mention our pollinator friends!

And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the City Council felt it was timely to share some pictures of blooms with city residents.

The Wild City initiative is a partnership between Exeter City Council and Devon Wildlife Trust.

Preparations for this year’s blooms are already taking place and the City Council and Devon Wildlife Trust will be announcing more over the coming weeks.
