RAMM scoops main accolade at Exeter Living Awards 2019

xeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery has won the top award at the Exeter Living Awards 2019.

The popular museum was named the winner of the overall Platinum Award, which is given to one of the 22 category winners on the night.

The Awards, held at the University of Exeter’s Great Hall and were attended by more than 400 people from across the city and beyond.

RAMM also picked up the award for Leisure & Tourism.

Commenting on the Museum’s entry, the judges said: “We were truly blown away by RAMM’s submission: the quality and range of work, and the sheer number of people who have enjoyed its offering. Here’s to another 150 years!”

Earlier in the evening the judges remarked that RAMM was “An extraordinary place celebrating 150 years of sparking curiosity in both young and old. We can all be proud of this world class attraction in Exeter.”

The Platinum Award has been awarded to some of Exeter’s main organisations and events over recent years including:

2018 Winner: Exeter Mathematics School

2017 Winner: Exeter College Think Apprenticeships

2016: Rugby World Cup 2015 Exeter
