Order of service available online for Exeter Remembrance Service

Exeter’s Remembrance Sunday Service in Northernhay Gardens

People attending Exeter’s Remembrance Sunday Service in Northernhay Gardens on Sunday can download the order of service in advance.

A link has been made available in advance of Sunday and a QR code will be available on the day for people to download onto their mobile phones. Only a few paper versions will be available on the day so people are encouraged to download their own copies.

The Service will take place on Sunday 13 November, from 10.50am, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Exeter will be remembering all those who have served and lost their lives as part of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces as a result of conflict or terrorism.

The Lord Mayor's Chaplain will conduct the service, with the Exeter Salvation Army Band accompanied by the University of Exeter’s Chapel Choir who will perform before the service and during the hymns.

A Civic Party led by the Lord Mayor, Cllr Yolonda Henson, and comprising City Councillors, Honorary Aldermen, MPs and representatives from the emergency services, military and other key partners from the city will be present

A large number of ex-service units, cadets and other local associations will be represented around the War Memorial carrying standards and laying wreaths.

Drill Instructors from CTCRM, Lympstone will provide military guidance with a Bugler from the 6 RIFLES Salamanca Band who will play Reveille and the Last Post.

Members of the public are welcome to lay poppies or wreaths. If they make themselves known to the Drill Instructors on the day, then they will be shown where to stand.
