New opening hours for City Council’s Customer Service Centre

People using Exeter City Council’s Customer Service Centre (CSC) in Paris Street are being made aware of new opening hours.
From Monday 15 May, new hours will see the CSC opening from 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. The new hours have been brought in to reflect customer demand, which peaks between 9am and 11am daily and tails off sharply in the afternoons.
The pandemic forced the council to look differently at face-to-face service delivery. Rapidly the team had to explore alternative options, whilst making the best use of resources through continuously improving processes.
Post-pandemic, most customers are now choosing to contact the council online or over the phone, therefore the CSC no longer operates a drop in service.
However pre-booked face to face appointments will be available for those residents who are unable to access council services online or over the telephone.
Self-Serve PCs and telephones will also be available in the CSC, for those wishing to use them to access a range of council services.
The Customer Service phone lines continue to open 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri, including the Council Tax lines which will reopen on a Tuesday 9am-5pm.

The new hours will be as follows:
- Mondays – 9am to 2pm
- Tuesdays – 9am to 2pm
- Wednesdays – 9am to 2pm
- Thursdays – 9am to 2pm
- Fridays – 9am to 2pm
- Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays – Closed
