Exeter Festival will be back next summer – and organisers are promising another massive weekend to remember.

The festival will return to Northernhay Gardens and other venues around the city, from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July.

More than 8,000 people attended this summer’s festival, and the event was widely hailed as a big success.

It featured live music, film, comedy, street entertainers, local food and drink producers, a wide variety of stalls, a major craft fair and a day of health and wellbeing activities.

Details of this year’s headline acts, and how to buy tickets, are set to be revealed shortly.

But organisers are promising another fun-filled weekend of top entertainment which will build on the success of this year’s event.

Cllr Rachel Sutton, Lead Councillor for Climate & Culture, said: “We are delighted to announce the return of Exeter Festival in 2020.

“This summer’s event was a big success which surpassed our expectations in terms of both numbers attending, and the amount of positive feedback it received.

“It really is a community event which showcases the city as a great place to live, work in and visit. Quality of life is so important – and providing people with entertainment, culture and a sense of community is so important. That’s why I am really delighted to see the return of Exeter Festival in 2020.”
