Your views wanted on Council’s Housing Anti-Social Behaviour Strategy

The Council is updating its Housing Anti-Social Behaviour Strategy and Policy and wants to hear from residents to ensure it has the right priorities for the future.
Residents are being asked to complete a short online survey which will help to shape the strategy and help the Council to respond to the wishes and aspirations of residents wherever possible.
The strategy sets out the approach to preventing, tackling and resolving Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the Council’s homes and communities.
It supports objective five of the Council Housing Strategy - ensuring the safety of our homes and residents.
The strategy is supplemented by a new ASB policy, which will guide the Council’s day-to-day delivery of the service.
ASB can be highly damaging to individuals, families and communities, and no one organisation can end ASB alone.
For the Council to reduce and eliminate ASB on its estates in the city, it needs to work in partnership with its partner organisations.
These include the police, other housing organisations, commissioned services and local communities. The strategy looks at the following key areas to achieve this:
- Prevention
- Early intervention
- Victim support
- Governance, insight and analytics
- Staff, residents and partners
A short online survey has been created to help inform the Council about its priorities for the future and is open for six weeks, from 12 March to 23 April.
