Work of Young Devon highlighted to mark World Homeless Day Work of Young Devon

Young Devon is a young people’s charity with a mission to make Devon a better place for all young people.

Each year it works with more than 2,000 young people, building quality relationships to help them thrive.

Young Devon, which has a base at Cathedral Yard in Exeter city centre, provides skills and wellbeing, gives young people a voice and facilitates supported accommodation.

When a young person can no longer live at home, or they find themselves homeless, Young Devon works with them to find out what accommodation best suits their needs.

It helps young people to develop resilience, which is much harder to do without the sense of security that a place to call home offers.

Young Devon does everything it can to stop a young person from becoming homeless. If that hasn’t worked, it is committed to improving the range, quality and amount of accommodation it can offer young people.

In the video below Jenny Lynch, of Young Devon, highlights the crucial role the organisation plays in the city.
