Wood you believe it! – chance to make gifts for Christmas

People are being offered the opportunity to get all crafty in the lead up to Christmas and make bird boxes, bug hotels and festive reindeers.

Wonford Planters – who are supported by Exeter City Council  - will be holding a community engagement event on Saturday 11 December at Wonford Green Pocket Park, next to the GP Surgery in Burnthouse Lane.

The event is being held in conjunction with Wood for Good, who are part of Co-Create Exeter and reuse timber to give it a new lease of life.

Everyone is welcome to attend and this is a great opportunity to bring the kids and make lovely Christmas gifts. The event runs from 10am on Saturday 11 December.

Exeter City Council supports Wonford Planters and has awarded the group funding in the past, giving them a Ward Grant and a Small Grant.

The group will also be working with Wood for Good on the day to create new raised beds for the site.
