Three public toilets in Exeter have reopened for use by the public in response to an increase in demand.

The toilets at Exeter Quay, Heavitree Pleasure Ground and Cowick Barton Playing Fields were reopened by the City Council on Wednesday.

The public toilets at the bus station in Paris Street were reopened recently.

Additional signage is now also in place to remind people of social distancing requirements within the facilities.

Additional cleansing regimes and safe systems have been put in place to ensure that the facilities meet Government guidance on the cleaning of non-healthcare settings.

The toilets will be open from 7am, and will be closed by 7pm, and they will be cleaned on a continuous cycle throughout that time.

The toilets were closed following guidance from the Government to help tackle the spread of coronavirus. The guidance was recently updated following the easing of lockdown restrictions.
