Take part in the Big Bag Challenge and tidy up your neighbourhood

Take part in the Big Bag Challenge and tidy up your neighbourhood The Big Bag Challenge

People in Exeter are being encouraged to carry out their own individual litter picks as part of the Great British Spring Clean.

Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean runs from 25 March to 10 April and people in Exeter and across Devon are being invited to take part in the #BigBagChallenge

The challenge is for individuals, community groups or schools to pledge to pick up as much litter as possible during the Great British Spring Clean (GBSC).

Once a pledge has been made then it’s time to let the GBSC know.

Exeter City Council and Clean Devon are backing the initiative.

Groups or individuals can organise their own litter picks and even borrow litter picking equipment from the City Council.

The City Council has a range of litter pickers, high-visibility jackets, gloves and bags for anyone who wants to tidy up their neighbourhood.

To borrow the equipment contact the Council on 01392 262630.

For additional advice and information on how to reduce litter, visit Clean Devon's website.

Those who wish to join in with the Great British Spring Clean and take action can visit Keep Britain Tidy's website.
