A number of swings that were removed from play areas In Exeter during the pandemic because of social distancing guidelines, are gradually being put back, Exeter City Council has confirmed.
More than 100 swings across the city are now being put back where they came from in line with the easing of restrictions.
Cllr Harvey, Lead Councillor for City Management said he was delighted the swings were being returned.
“We have staff putting the swings back as we speak but it is a big job affecting more than 80 sites across the city.
“We will endeavour to get them put back where they belong as quickly as possible so that children can once again enjoy using them.
“We only have a small but dedicated team carrying out this work, so I would ask people to remain patient whilst we carry out the installations across the city,” he added.
