Swap seeds and find out about biodiversity at community event
Published: 30 March 2022
People in Exeter are being invited to find out how to make community green spaces vibrant, food producing and biodiverse.
They are being invited to a Community Growers Network Social and Seed Swap.
The event is taking place at Maketank, 3-5 Paris Street, Exeter, on Tuesday 26 April, between 7pm and 8:30pm.
This is the first of three live events over 2022-23 organised by Exeter Connect to share ideas about community growing and urban environmental stewardship.
The event will be a space to chat, ask questions, share ideas, make plans, and view displays on interesting topics. Exeter Seed Bank will be on hand with seedlings to give away.
Devon Wildlife Trust will have maps about the six Exeter Valley Parks that they manage on behalf of the City Council. There’ll also be a chance to look at the Exeter Biodiversity Reference Map and current Exeter Wild City projects.
Anyone who has seeds is encouraged to swap, so bring them along!
Anyone wanting to bring anything else to share, please let the organisers know.
There will be non alcoholic drinks and nibbles. Everyone is welcome to attend but numbers are limited.
