Summer Activity Day in Wonford for Council tenants and leaseholders

The Council’s Housing team will host a family-friendly Summer Activity Day in Wonford later this month.

A range of fun activities and games will take place at Wonford Playing Fields, next to the Wonford Community Centre, on Thursday 17 August, from 11am to 2pm.

All Exeter City Council tenants and leaseholders are invited to come along and join in the fun.

There will be activities for people of all ages, including storytelling sessions, arts and crafts activities, face painting, wildlife activities and fun outdoor games.

There will be an opportunity to help make a bee hotel, decorate a bird box or have a go at the ever-popular tug-of-war.

Cllr Barbara Denning, Lead Councillor for Council Housing Development and Support Services, said: “Exeter City Council is a very proud landlord and these activity days are a great way to bring residents together.

“It will be great to see as many of our tenants and leaseholders as possible on the day – let’s hope for some sunny weather so that people can make the most of this free community event.”
