Still time to have your say on the future development of Exeter

Published: 18 November 2022

People from across the city have been attending the Exeter Plan roadshow exhibitions to share their views on how Exeter could look in future.

Council officers have heard views from residents, visitors, business and organisations on issues such as climate change, the future of the high streets and economy.

Consultation on the Exeter Plan is continuing - it’s not too late to have your say.

The next exhibition will be held on Monday 21 November, at Park Life Heavitree Hub, Heavitree Pleasure Ground, between 12noon and 5.15pm.

There will also be an exhibition the following day, Tuesday 22 November, at St Sidwell’s Community Centre, Sidwell Street, between 1pm and 7pm.

Cllr Phil Bialyk, Leader of the City Council, said: “As the local planning authority for Exeter, the City Council has a statutory duty to prepare a planning policy for the city - the Exeter Plan. But this plan needs to be Exeter’s Plan.

“This is a huge opportunity for everyone in the city to work together and to have their say about the city’s future.”

The remaining exhibition dates are:

November:

21 - Park Life Heavitree Hub, Heavitree Pleasure Ground, midday-5.15pm

22 - St Sidwell’s Community Centre, Sidwell Street 1-7pm

December:

1 - St James’ Church Hall, Mount Pleasant Road, 1pm-7pm

People can also leave their comments via an interactive and easy to navigate online survey platform.

The survey platform allows users to read the Exeter Plan and complete a variety of short surveys.
