Residents urged to return forms to ensure they keep their right to vote

Published: 5 October 2022

Residents in Exeter are being asked to check they are registered to vote Electoral Registration Canvass

If any resident in Exeter has received a form or letter from the City Council’s electoral services in the past few months and has not yet returned it – now is the time to do so.

The annual Electoral Registration Canvass is coming to a close and canvassers will be calling at addresses in the city where forms have been sent out but have not yet been received back.

If households have a form that requires a return, they should go online or put it in the post as soon as possible.

This will ensure that all residents will be included on the register when it’s published and they don’t lose their right to vote.

It also saves the Council money by not having to call at addresses.
