Popular play area given new “lease of life” Round Table Meet Play Area

New life has been breathed into a tired old play area in Exeter.

The City Council has spruced up play equipment at Roundtable Meet, off Beacon Lane, in Exeter, prolonging its life and making it more appealing.

Contractors treated the timbers and replaced a number of steeping logs and balance beams to give the equipment a new, fresh look.

Cllr Amal Ghusain, Lead Councillor for City Management and Environmental Services, said: “The refurbished play area looks great and I am sure children living nearby have already started to enjoy using it.

“We know this play area is popular with local children so it was really important that we freshened it up and gave it another lease of life.”

The refurbishment is part of a rolling programme the Council is carrying out to maintain and refresh play area equipment in various locations across the city where it is needed.
