In addition to the fantastic parks and green spaces already available in Exeter, recent changes to government guidance are allowing more spaces to be opened up safely over the coming weeks and months.

In Exeter, the City Council will be looking to open as many play parks as possible in a phased approach over the coming weeks, once appropriate controls are in place to ensure they are safe to use. Look out for new signs and information in city parks and open spaces to help everyone enjoy them safely.

Exeter has more than 250 acres of public open space. Together with the valley parks, public open space makes up 9.5% of the total area of the city.

Exeter parks and open spaces provide some of the most widely used social and recreational facilities for residents and visitors.
