Parliamentary boundary changes for Exeter are confirmed

Parliamentary boundary changes for Exeter are confirmed Parliamentary boundary changes

The Boundary Commission for England has published its final recommendations for new constituency boundaries in Exeter.

Last year residents in Exeter were invited to give their view in a consultation on proposed boundary changes affecting the city’s Parliamentary constituency.

The Commission has confirmed its recommendation that the Pinhoe, St Loyes and Topsham wards should be part of the newly created the Exmouth and Exeter East County constituency.

The boundary changes only affect Parliamentary constituency boundaries and do not impact on the wards which make up Exeter City Council.

The Commission has now fulfilled its statutory responsibilities, and the submission of the report and its publication ends the Commission’s involvement in the 2023 Boundary Review.

The changes now await Parliamentary approval.
