More cash prizes won by players in the Exeter Community Lottery

Published: 20 December 2023

More Exeter Community Lottery players are celebrating after winning cash prizes in last weekend’s draw while raising much-needed funds for good causes in the city.

Mr B, from Exeter, who is raising funds for Exeter City Ultimate Frisbee, won £250. There were also three £25 winners, who were raising money for Friends of Exeter Ship Canal, Julian House and the Central Fund.

This week there’s an extra reason for people to take part – a chance to win the latest national prize draw.

As well as players having the chance to win weekly cash prizes of up to £25,000, those registered before Saturday 23 December will gain access to an additional national bolt-on prize – a £3,000 Christmas cash bonus.

The biggest winners of all are the good causes being supported – around 90 organisations are set to benefit this year thanks to the Exeter Community Lottery.

When people play the weekly lottery they have a chance to choose which cause to support. Fifty pence in every pound then goes to that cause, with 10p going towards a Central Fund which supports a variety of good causes in the city. The rest of the money pays for prizes and administration.

Tickets cost £1, paid via direct debit or debit card. Draws take place every Saturday at 8pm with winners notified by email.
