Lord Mayor's message to Italian storm victims Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Rob Hannaford

Exeter’s Lord Mayor has sent a message of goodwill and sympathy to those living in Terracina, after the Italian coastal town was hit by tornadoes, killing one person and injuring others. Exeter is twinned with Terracina.

Fierce winds and rain has left 11 dead in the west and north of Italy.

Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Rob Hannaford, said: “We were very concerned to hear of the destruction caused to our twin city in Italy. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of those killed and injured in the storms and we hope that life returns back to some semblance of normality as soon as possible.”
