Killing Eve author Luke Jennings discusses his work in Exeter

Author Luke Jennings, author of the novels that became the critically acclaimed BBC series Killing Eve, will talk about his work in Exeter in December.

The talk is part of Quay Words 2019 – an exploration of words and stories at the historic Custom House at Exeter Quay.

Luke will be talking about his smash hit novels, the creation of the ‘criminally good’ assassin Villanelle and the dynamic of her relationship with Eve, and how his novels became the basis for the hit TV series starring Jodi Comer and Sandra Oh.

The London-based author and former journalist has written for The Observer, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Time. He is the author of Blood Knots short-listed for the Samuel Johnson and William Hill prizes, and the Booker Prize-nominated Atlantic, amongst other titles. With his daughter Laura, he wrote the teenage stage-school novels Stars and Stars: Stealing the Show.

Luke’s latest publications are Killing Eve: Codename Villanelle and Killing Eve: No Tomorrow, the second book in the trilogy.

The third, Killing Eve: Die for Me, follows in early 2020. The novels follow the thrilling, obsessive duel between Villanelle, an elite assassin, and Eve Polastri, the MI6 agent tasked with hunting her down.

The talk takes place at Exeter Custom House, on Wednesday, December 11, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Doors Open at 6pm.
