It’s time for splashdown in St Thomas Councillor Philip Bialyk, Leader of the Council

It’s time for splashdown in St Thomas with the newly refurbished Splashpad opening up tomorrow (Saturday 1 July).

The fun water facility in St Thomas Pleasure Ground is ready to welcome youngsters back. The Splashpad will be open 10am to 7pm, seven days a week.

Exeter City Council has invested in the facility and fitted a newly improved spongy safety surface.

Children can now enjoy the water park with its colourful play area and jets of water.

Council Leader Phil Bialyk said the Splashpad was a great facility for the people of Exeter to enjoy.

“It’s open and ready for the school holidays for mums and dads to bring their young ones down here and have some free entertainment.

“I used to come down here when I was a child with my friends. We grew up in the St Thomas area, although we didn’t have such a nice Splashpad then!”

St Thomas isn’t the only outdoor water park people can enjoy in Exeter. Heavitree Pleasure Grounds on the opposite side of the river has some paddling pools which prove a hit during the hot summer weather. The pools are open 10am to 7pm, seven days a week.
