Invitation to anyone thinking of becoming an Exeter City councillor

Anyone considering standing to become an Exeter City councillor is being invited to attend an informal information evening.

The virtual-event is being held at 6pm on Tuesday 25 October on Zoom.

The event has been organised for anyone who is standing or thinking of standing in May’s City Council elections.

The event will talk people through the key elements in the process leading up to the elections themselves, as well as what happens if candidates become elected.

Those attending will get a chance to find out the following:

• What’s required for people to put themselves forward
• The election process
• What happens if candidates are elected
• Code of conduct
• Induction programme
• Meetings
• Time commitment

Those who wish to attend can email committee.services@exeter.gov.uk so that a Zoom invite can be sent out.
