Head outside and explore the City of Exeter this summer with RAMM
Published: 17 July 2020
The Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery (RAMM) in Exeter is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new summer challenge, Roaming with RAMM. Following on from their hugely successful RAMM at Home project the museum is encouraging and inspiring people to get out and about, enjoy some fresh air and uncover some of the hidden historical artefacts in and around the beautiful city of Exeter.
Starting on Friday 24th July, RAMM will release a series of clues to encourage people to explore the city on foot, unravelling a riddle to discover a fascinating historical object.
Each Roaming with RAMM treasure hunt challenge will start outside the museum. Clues will be released across the museum’s social media channels and as a PDF available to download from RAMM’s website at www.rammuseum.org.uk. For those who get stuck, each challenge will include links to helpful hints to get you going on your way again.
Rachel Sutton, Exeter City Council’s lead for Climate and Culture said, “We know that many people have felt isolated and cut off from the external world during lockdown. As well as providing an opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful city of Exeter, Roaming with RAMM will also give people the chance to re-connect with the much loved museum. These engaging and educational walks will help you to continue to be inspired by the museum’s fabulous collections and find out more about how they are linked to the city of Exeter.”
For those that are interested in taking part, challenges will be released every Friday on the RAMM website, across their social media accounts and via e-newsletters. Visit https://rammuseum.org.uk/roaming-with-ramm/ to find out more.
