Graffiti cleaned off Exeter's Roman wall

Graffiti sprayed on Exeter’s historic Roman wall has been carefully removed using specialist contractors.
Pictures show the wall running through Northernhay Gardens before and after the work was carried out by Orchard Stonemasons.
Because the Roman wall is a scheduled monument, Exeter City Council had to consult with Historic England about how the removal of the graffiti was carried out.
Spraying graffiti on the Roman wall is a criminal offence. People can report graffiti to the on the City Council website at https://exeter.gov.uk/clean-safe-city/anti-social-behaviour/report-graffiti/
