Exeter's street art scene reborn: Philth unveils striking mural Mural by Philth

Exeter's once-quiet street art scene is witnessing a vibrant revival. A recent mural on Longbrook Street by the acclaimed artist "Philth" is leading this charge.

The piece is part of a larger project by InExeter (Exeter’s Business Improvement District - Funded by Exeter Levy paying businesses)

This initiative is aimed at showcasing the works of high-profile street artists on Exeter's streets.

These murals aren't just about creating a visual feast. They serve a more practical function too.

Their location is carefully chosen: buildings suffering from neglect or marred by tags. The murals breathe new life into these spaces, transforming them into artistic landmarks.

This project is also creating a cultural draw. It invites art enthusiasts and other artists to the city to witness these pieces, which are quickly becoming significant cultural icons.

There are two more murals in their final planning stages. All are eagerly anticipating what these will bring to Exeter's burgeoning art scene.

To those city organisations wanting to get involved, either through funding or by offering a wall within the bid district, contact info@inexeter.com.
