A Jobs Fair in Exeter has been hailed a success after more than 200 job seekers turned up and secured a number of job interviews.

The Jobs Fair was held at Exeter Corn Exchange on Thursday, with 42 companies, recruitment agencies and support services attending, offering up hundreds of jobs and opportunities.

The Jobs Fair, which is organised by Exeter City Council and Exeter Jobscentre, is the largest in Exeter and has grown in popularity over recent years.

Big companies such as IKEA, Crealy and Stagecoach were in attendance, along with BT, Amazon, Wetherspoons, Proud to Care and Exeter City Council.

A spokesman for Exeter City Council said: “The event was a great success and we’ve already heard that a number of those attending have secured job interviews for next week, which is really positive news.”
