Workers from the Council’s Public and Greenspaces team have rescued a lost pet rabbit – and now want to reunite the fluffy bunny with its rightful owner.

Crews were strimming a hedge in Bramley Avenue, Whipton, on Tuesday morning when one of the team spotted something moving in the hedge.

On closer inspection they discovered the lonely creature was a pet rabbit taking shelter from the wind and rain.

The rabbit was carefully placed in a cat box and taken to City Vets in Heavitree, in the hope that its owner will come forward to claim it.

The rabbit is safe and well but understandably confused about its sudden change in circumstances.

If anyone knows who the rabbit belongs to, they should contact the owner to make the arrangements to collect the rabbit from City Vets in Heavitree.
