The search is on to find the right person to bring an empty shop window in Exeter to life with an eye-catching piece of art.

The Arts and Events team at Exeter City Council is working with Liveable Exeter and Exeter Culture to find a cultural producer to deliver an attractive piece of art for the city centre.

A key component of the project will be to work with local communities.

Cllr Laura Wright, Lead Councillor for Culture & City Centre Strategy, said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for a cultural producer to work with local people and produce a piece of artwork that will bring added vibrancy and interest to the city centre.”

Once produced the artwork will need to be portable, so that it can be easily moved to other shops/retail units in the city centre.

People are being invited to send in their proposals for the commission, which has a budget of £4,000, by midnight on Friday 18 August.
