With the easing of some of the Covid-19 restrictions allowing many people to return to work, vaccination centres in Exeter and Plymouth need you.

Please Note: We are pleased to say that as so many people have now had at least their first jab, there is less risk faced by older age groups to the virus. This means that we are now able to accept offers of volunteering from those aged over 69.

Ushering and patient flow Stewards

This role covers both internal and external stewarding, where you are likely to be involved in:

Directing citizens to the appropriate site entrance and directing traffic if necessary, ensuring citizens respect social distancing guidelines and have all the documentation and paperwork prepared for checking

Checking paperwork to ensure citizens are in the right place at the right time and identifying citizens who may require additional support and direct them as appropriate.

Ensure efficient flow to and from the vaccination station and effectively communicate with the exit area representatives to avoid congestion.

Provide enhanced support to those requiring it (e.g. those who cannot queue standing) and ensure that citizens respect social distancing guidelines.

Days and shift allocation can be arranged to suit you once applications are processed. This will be carried out via the 3Rings online booking system that you will be invited to once you application has been processed. Shifts are currently 8am-Noon. Noon-4pm and 4pm-8pm.
