Tickets still available for Ukrainian refugees fundraising lecture

Published: 11 April 2022

Tickets are still available for a fundraising lecture at Exeter’s historic Guildhall to raise money in support of refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Exeter historian Dr Todd Gray will give the lecture on Wednesday 13 April, at 2pm. Money raised from the event will go towards supporting Ukrainian refugees settling in Exeter.

Local Ukrainians working to get people safely to Devon and supporting arriving refugees are also expected to attend.

The lecture, Exeter and Its Own Struggle For Freedom, will explore similarities between the Exeter Blitz and the current invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army.

Tickets cost £10 and Dr Gray has also set up a Just Giving page for those who would like to make a donation regardless of attendance. He is hoping to raise around £2,000.
