Following the recent Central Government Directive the council has reopened public tennis and basketball courts in Exeter.

The courts were reopened at 3pm on Wednesday. But there are important regulations in place covering their use.

Anyone choosing to use outdoor sports courts or facilities, such as tennis or basketball courts, must only do so with members of their own household, or one other person, while staying two metres apart and maintaining social distancing.

Further guidance can be found on the Government website https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do

This action will be reviewed in line with further Government Policy changes.

Bowls and croquet greens currently remain closed, but that is currently under discussion with the clubs.

Play areas remain shut at the current time, in line with the Government’s directive.
