Musical treats to raise funds for Lord Mayor of Exeter’s charity

Published: 30 August 2024

Two musical events will hit the high notes while raising much-needed funds for the Lord Mayor of Exeter’s chosen charity FORCE.

An evening of Charioke – charity karaoke – takes place at The Thatched House in Exwick, on Saturday 7 September.

Entry is free, but the audience can purchase bags of coins which tip the scales towards keeping a singer on stage - whether they are good or bad!

Food is available from 5pm, and there will also be fun warm up games and a raffle, with all proceeds going to FORCE Cancer Charity. Karaoke will start at 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 13 October, The Stan Hacking Concert Band present Music from the Movies to raise money for FORCE at Exeter’s Southernhay Church, at 7.30pm.

All are welcome to come along and enjoy this fantastic concert while supporting FORCE.

Tickets priced £10 are available on the door but are selling fast! They are available to buy in advance online by visiting https://stanhackingconcertband.co.uk/concerts/ or by calling Ceri on 01392 406153.

Exeter Lord Mayor Cllr Kevin Mitchell, who works as a cancer nurse, is fundraising for FORCE’s Let’s Face Cancer Together project, which supports those with non-curative cancer. The project will enable specific tailored support to individuals and their loved ones.
