Homeless Awareness Week: support for rough sleepers in Exeter Support for rough sleepers in Exeter

To mark Homeless Awareness Week 2024 the Council is highlighting the range of support services for anyone homeless or facing homelessness in Exeter.

Throughout the week a wide variety of content has been produced to help those who may be in housing need.

The personal experiences of some of those who have experienced life on the streets in Exeter will also be shared throughout the week.

Anyone can find themselves homeless at any time with a change in their circumstances like redundancy or relationship breakdown.

A dedicated team of officers at the Council work tirelessly, together with other agencies and the community and voluntary sector, to address the problem in Exeter.

In our latest podcast - What is Exeter City Council Doing to Help Rough Sleepers? The range of support provided to anyone without secure accommodation is explored and explained by housing officers.

It also examines some of the successes and looks at how the Council has worked to reduce rough sleeping numbers and how Exeter compares to the rest of the country.
