Homeless Awareness Week: How does Devon Home Choice Work?

To mark Homeless Awareness Week 2024 the Council is highlighting the range of support services for anyone homeless or facing homelessness in Exeter.

As well as providing expert advice from the Council’s team of dedicated officers, the voices of those who have experienced homelessness in Exeter are also highlighted.

Officers at the Council work tirelessly, together with other agencies and the community and voluntary sector, to address homelessness in Exeter.

In the podcast below How does Devon Home Choice Work? housing officers explain how the system works, and how those registered can search and bid for social housing.

Properties that become available are allocated depending on who is in greatest need.
