Homeless Awareness Week Helping Families with Temporary Accommodation Helping Families with Temporary Accommodation

To mark Homeless Awareness Week 2024 the Council is highlighting the range of support services for anyone homeless or facing homelessness in Exeter.

A wide variety of content has been produced throughout the week to provide advice and support to those in housing need.

As well as providing expert advice from the Council’s team of dedicated officers, the voices of those who have experienced homelessness in Exeter will also be highlighted.

Anyone can find themselves homeless at any time with a change in their circumstances like redundancy or relationship breakdown.

Officers at the Council work tirelessly, together with other agencies and the community and voluntary sector, to address homelessness in Exeter.

In the podcast below, Helping Families with Temporary Accommodation, housing officers explain how temporary accommodation at locations across the city is used for those in urgent need, and how the team works to find appropriate solutions for people in urgent need of a temporary home.
