Have your say on polling arrangements in Exeter Polling arrangements in Exeter

People are being asked to have their say on polling arrangements in Exeter.

The City Council is to carry out a review of its polling districts and polling stations and is asking members of the public for their views.

The Council has to carry out a statutory review every five years under the Representation of the People Act 1983.

The last comprehensive review took place in 2019, with a minor interim review in 2022.

The consultation period runs from 12 August until 27 September and residents, organisations, and individuals with expertise in accessibility are invited to contribute their views on the current arrangements.

Submissions must be made in writing to Jeff Chalk at the Electoral Services Office or via email at electoral.services@exeter.gov.uk by the closing date.

The Council will publish the Acting Returning Officers’ recommendations and will consider all representations before finalising the proposals, which are expected to be published in December 2024.
