Have your say on play facilities in Exeter

Published: 24 April 2019

Play Area Three consultation events have been arranged

People in Exeter are being given an opportunity to have their say on play parks around the city.

The City Council is holding a number of listening events in communities around Exeter next week and is keen for as many people as possible to turn up and have their say.

The local authority currently provides lots of good, free and accessible play facilities for children of all ages, but it needs to make sure that these are the right sort of play provision and are sustainable.

The Council understands the importance of designing play space to include all children – no matter how able they are – encouraging children of all abilities, ethnic backgrounds, ages and other differences to play together, to foster an active environment where diversity is welcomed, respected and valued.

The first consultation event takes place on Tuesday 30 April at the Isca Centre, off Summer Lane, from 11am until 5pm.

A day later on Wednesday 1 May, there will be another event at St Thomas Pleasure Ground, again between 11am and 5pm.

A third event will take place in Wonford on a date yet to be confirmed.
