Groups and individuals can now get hold of litter picking equipment

Communities are being offered the opportunity to tidy up their neighbourhoods using litter-pickers, gloves and equipment supplied by the Tidy Exeter Group.

The City Council secured the funding from the government and supplied the group with money to buy the equipment and now the Tidy Group are offering to loan it to local groups to keep their neighbourhoods tidy.

Percy Prowse, Chair of the Tidy Exeter Group said: “We’ve got litter-pickers, gloves, bags and hi-vis jackets and we’d love to hear from any community groups that could put them to great use.

Interested groups are being urged to contact the City Council on 01392 262633 to arrange use of the equipment.
