General election confirmed as Thursday 4 July

Polling stations will open up again on 4 July across Exeter for the General Election

With a General Election coming up in less than six weeks, people in Exeter are being reminded to make sure they’re on the electoral register if they want to vote.

The Prime Minister has confirmed that the General Election will take place on Thursday 4 July.

Polling stations across the city will be open from 7am to 10pm on the day.

People will need to ensure they are registered to vote. There’s still time to register but the deadline is Tuesday 18 June. Simply visit the GOVUK website to register to vote 

People can also apply for a postal vote. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 19 June. To apply for a postal vote, also visit the GOV.UK website
