Free landlord event looks at disrepair in properties Disrepair in residential property

Landlords are being invited to attend a free webinar about disrepair in residential property.

The event takes place on Wednesday 29 March and has been organised by Exeter City Council to help landlords understand their obligations when it comes to the upkeep of property.

Experts from Tozers LLP will be providing help and assistance on a subject which has been very much in the news in recent times.

With tenants increasingly raising repair issues as defences to possession claims, landlords need to be well-informed about their duties regarding property upkeep. Tozers LLP's Senior Associate and solicitor Joanne Young and Assistant Solicitor Martina Wise will be providing expert insights on this topic in a live session starting at 6pm.

Joanne Young has almost 20 years of experience in handling property litigation matters for both private and public sector landlords. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with various issues that can arise with tenancies. Martina Wise works closely with Jo on a variety of property-related disputes and has recently qualified as a lawyer, having worked as a legal executive for several years.

During the live session, Jo and Martina will provide practical tips and hints on how landlords can fulfil their duties with regard to property upkeep. They will also offer insights on what the future may hold for landlords regarding repairs and maintenance in the rental market.
