Free community art show will highlight Exeter’s creative talents

A free community art show will be held in the city centre later this month.

Fun A Day Exeter encouraged people to do a fun activity every day throughout February, culminating in an exhibition at the Positive Light Projects in Sidwell Street on 18 and 19 March.

Participants were encouraged to capture their chosen activity to exhibit their work take at the exhibition.

Fun A Day started in 2004 in Philadelphia, USA by a group of friends wanting to stay creative through the winter months. It has since been adopted across the USA and has ventured as far as Dundee in Scotland.

In Exeter the initiative was launched by residents Stephen Fisher and Ali Lucas.

There are no entry fees and no prizes, no age limit, and no exclusions. Just a creative spark to light the gloom of February.

The exhibition, sponsored by the University of Exeter and Positive Light Projects, is free and open to the public on Saturday 18 March, 11am - 4pm, and Sunday 19 March, 12pm - 4pm, at Positive Lights, 184 Sidwell Street, Exeter.
