Exeter Great West Run Exeter's Great West Run 2019

Thousands of people are set to take part in Exeter’s Great West Run on Sunday.

With more than 30 years of history, the half marathon has grown into one of the region’s premier running events.

It welcomes runners of all abilities each year to take part in the 13.1m challenge through the heart of city. Most are raising money for a wide variety of charities and good causes.

The race starts at Exeter Arena at 9am and takes in the city centre before finishing back at the Arena. Thousands of well-wishers and supporters are expected to encourage the runners along the route.

Drivers are reminded that a series of temporary road closures will be in place on Sunday morning.
