Exeter Community Lottery celebrates its first anniversary

Published: 26 July 2024

Exeter Community Lottery is celebrating its first anniversary this weekend after a year of supporting good causes throughout the city.

The lottery was launched in July 2023 and since then more than 120 community groups and good causes have signed up to benefit.

Thousands of pounds have been raised over the last 12 months for a huge variety of good causes.

Lottery tickets are just £1 a week with more going directly to good causes than with any other major lottery. Players can see exactly where every penny goes on the lottery website.

It’s never too late for community groups and good causes to sign up – they can do so online today. Most not-for-profit groups are eligible to register to start using the lottery as an online community fundraising solution.

It’s simple to register a good cause and there’s no costs whatsoever. Once approved all they need to do is tell as many people as they can to support them through their lottery page.

With just 50 regular players groups could raise more than £1,000 annually.

All registered groups get:

  • A webpage on the lottery site
  • A no-risk prize structure to help engage supporters
  • A wealth of marketing materials and support to help fundraising
  • A steady monthly income for the cause

Lottery players have the chance to win weekly cash prizes of up to £25,000. And this weekend players have an extra reason to sign up – the chance to win a Summer BBQ Party Ninja Bundle.

It’s a win-win, as most supporters are there to support the cause – the chance to win an amazing prize is just an added bonus.
