Exciting new wedding fayre coming to Exeter

Published: 11 January 2022

Exciting new wedding fair coming to Exeter #SomethingSpecial

Couples planning to get married are being invited to a wedding fayre in the heart of Exeter city centre.

The special event is being run by InExeter and stunning local venues, Exeter’s historic Guildhall and Exeter Castle, and will take place on the evening of Tuesday 1 March.

There will be a series of talks, stalls, stands, demonstrations, styling sessions and tasters at Exeter Castle, as well as a special ‘immerse & imagine’ interactive experience at Exeter’s historic Guildhall.

Couples will be able to learn how wedding décor can transform a room, see new season bride, groom and guest outfits, hear about local venues, trial hair designs, explore how to surprise their guests and most importantly chat to the businesses who will be there with all the experience and guidance to help make their day special.

Inspired by the film series #SomethingSpecial, which follows the journey of Exeter couple Sharifa and Jess as they plan their special day with local businesses, InExeter - the Business Improvement District - has organised the event to support  local businesses providing specialist services for the wedding trade.

There will be a traditional fayre held at Exeter Castle with stalls and displays, but to add to the free event, Exeter’s historic Guildhall on the High Street will be hosting an interactive and immersive evening, where guests will find more immersive displays to help them truly imagine how their day could look.

The event is free but people are encouraged to book tickets in advance. To find out more go to the Eventbrite page at https://bit.ly/ExeterWeddingFayre
