Published: 12 July 2024

Exeter all set for a summer of swing with free Jazz on the Quay on Sundays Jazz on the Quay

Get set for Jazz on the Quay this weekend as the sounds of summer return to Exeter’s waterside.

This Sunday (14 July) it’s the turn of La Vie en Rose Gypsy Jazz who take to the Transit Shed – just down from the Custom House - from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and it’s totally free of charge.

Organised by the Exeter Canal & Quay Trust and the City Council, Jazz on the Quay is a series of free, fun-filled Sunday afternoons of live music.

Stretching across the summer, a variety of talented jazz bands perform on the quayside, including Hothouse Combo, Borderline Jazz Band, and Wriggle Valley Jazz Band. Please note, there’s no Jazz on Sunday 28 July.

Here’s the line up for the rest of the summer:

  • 14 July - La Vie en Rose Gypsy Jazz
  • 21 July - Hothouse Combo
  • 4 August - Borderline Jazz Band
  • 11 August - Wriggle Valley Jazz Band
  • 18 August - Borderline Jazz Band
  • 25 August - Riviera Ramblers

No tickets are required, just bring friends, family and a love for jazz – it is the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday.
