Eight community groups in Exeter are celebrating after winning crucial funding from the City Council.

Exeter City Grants aim to encourage community participation by supporting groups to help run events, festivals and projects in the city.

A total of 17 groups applied for funding in the latest round of grants, with eight successfully picking up a combined £15,750. City Grants are one-off grants of up to £2,500.

Cllr Matthew Vizard, Lead Councillor with responsibility for Communities, said: “We’re delighted to announce the latest round of groups who have been successful in applying for funding. The money will go towards a diverse range of activities involving communities across the city.

“We would like to thank all those who applied for a grant. Whilst not everyone can be successful, there is always the next round, which is fast approaching, to apply for.”

The eight successful groups were:

  • Co-Create Exeter - £1,250 towards the Women in the Workshop project
  • Co-Lab Exeter – Co-Lab Women - £2,000 towards the Women’s Centre Project
  • Exeter Respect CIC - £2,000 towards the Exeter Respect Festival 2025
  • Exeter Pride - £2,500 towards Exeter Pride 2025
