City car park rooftop transformed into major two-day market festival

Some of the region’s biggest names in food and drink will feature at a unique two-day rooftop market festival in Exeter this weekend.

The Guildhall Shopping and Dining Centre’s rooftop car park will be transformed for the free event on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 August.

The first of its kind in Exeter, the Guildfest Rooftop Market Festival will have stunning views across Exeter to Haldon and beyond.

As well as food and drink from some of the top producers in the South West, there will be all day entertainment and fun family activities.

Visitors can soak up the fun and enjoy a meal and a drink in the shade of the festival marquees. There will be musicians playing acoustic sessions, artists painting live and chef’s tables all set against a backdrop of the rolling Devon hills.

The family-friendly festival, which has been supported by Exeter City Council, will feature great food from the best street food traders in Exeter.

There’s top drinks from Tortilla, Comptoir and many other local breweries, as well as break out spaces filled with arts and crafts including local independent stalls and workshops by some talented makers.

Guildfest takes place on the rooftop level of the Guildhall car park, 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Visit https://guildfest.co.uk/ for full details.
