A number of big companies including IKEA, Crealy and Stagecoach have confirmed their attendance at this month’s Exeter Jobs Fair.

The Jobs Fair – Exeter’s largest – takes place at Exeter Corn Exchange on Thursday 23 September and will be open from 11am until 2pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Hundreds of jobs and opportunities will be available at the Jobs Fair, which is organised by Exeter City Council and Exeter Jobcentre.

Among the other companies attending are:

  • BT
  • Amazon
  • Wetherspoons
  • Proud to Care
  • Exeter City Council

There is no need for jobseekers to book for the event – people can just turn up on the day.

There will be a range of different employers advertising their vacancies, as well as recruitment agencies and other support services.

Jobseekers are advised to come prepared with their CV to hand.

Anyone who is currently claiming benefits should talk to their Work Coach about attending.

Cllr Rachel Sutton, Exeter City Council’s Lead Councillor for the Skills Agenda, said: “It is great to be able to work collaboratively with Exeter Job Centre again to put on the Exeter Jobs Fair.

“The last 18 months have been very difficult for many of us, and with the end of furlough fast approaching and employers with lots of vacancies, now is the perfect time to be able to support job seekers and our business community alike with this event.”
